It’s hard to believe that I first started this blog four years ago. I was 19 years old, a sophomore in college – and although I’m only 23 now, so much has changed in what feels like a short time. I am still a feminist, a sociologist, and a social justice advocate. Though I have lost some of my optimism, my dedication to enacting social change has never been stronger. And perhaps most importantly, I have more knowledge – about myself and about the world – than I thought was possible to gain in just four years.
Because so much has changed, I’m starting over. Some of what I write will be personal, some of it will be political, but most of it will be both. I’ll explore everything from general social justice to racism, relationships, feminism, mental health, and self love. Despite not being an expert on any of those things, I know that my voice matters.
you are terrifying
and strange and beautiful
something not everyone knows how to love.
